Jessica de Geus (11 December 1979) lives in a small town called Middenmeer with her husband, son and three cats. As a child she liked drawing and painting and she loved dolls. These interests always stayed in her life. As a young adult she painted a lot of portraits, both people and animals.

In 2010 she discovered the world of BJD dolls. She opened an Etsy shop to sell handmade BJD clothes and she did a lot of commission BJD face-ups.

At the end of 2015 she illustrated her first children’s book.

In April 2016 she started to create her own art dolls, called Moppiedolls. When Jessica started making dolls, her favorite clay was Premier airdry clay, now she also loves to work with polymer clay. Jessica’s wish to make BJD dolls in addition to OOAK dolls has come true. In March 2022 she released her first resin BJD and many more are sure to follow.

Jessica: “It’s always a surprise how a doll comes to live. No doll turns out the way I planned. That’s what makes my job so exciting!”.
