dabida day 2024
At “Klok en Peel Museum” in Asten, the members of DABIDA and their guests will show their doll creations from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m.
We have previously been guests in the beautiful “Klok en Peel museum”, in 2014 and 2015. The beautiful Orangery provides a wonderful background for the various doll art created by our members and guests.
These DABIDA artists are present with their most beautiful and recent work:
Amy van Boxel, Olly Copal, Nell Groothedde, Saskia Hoeboer, Francisca Markus, Caroline van Stiphout, Marlaine Verhelst, Kim van de Wetering, Victoria Kostina and candidate member Luliia Samoilova.
An important part of DABIDA Day is the announcement of the winner of the Hannie Sarris Award. This year the theme of the competition is “Contact”.
In addition to the artists Petra Dijkstra and Satoko Shinke, who made it to the Top 3 in the Hannie Sarris Award, we have several guests: Tonia Wezerijn, An Brzoskowski, Sylvia Nieuwenburg and Martine de Bruin. The third artist to reach the Top 3, Chong Yang – hee from Korea, will not be present. Her doll, of course, will be present.
All doll artists that are present, are happy to explain their beautiful creations in different styles and materials. Some of them will show this in a half-hour demonstration. These can be seen throughout the day.
DABIDA day is interesting for everyone. The entire “Klok en Peel museum” can be visited during DABIDA Day, the museum is also very interesting for all ages.
